Vatican: The devout followers of the Vatican can soon add the Pope as a friend on Facebook.
Britain's Daily Telegraph reports that Pope Benedict is all for reaching out to followers across the globe through the popular social networking website.
The Pontiff will soon have a Facebook account with i-phone applications.
The initiative will allow followers to interact with the Pope.
This is not the first time the Vatican has embraced technology in a big way.
Earlier this year Pope Benedict launched his own YouTube channel for the faithful.
