New Delhi: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates, who is currently on a visit to Delhi, took an initiative to spread AIDS awareness.
60-odd students ran alongside the statesman from Raisina Hill to India Gate, early in the morning. They are all studying Portuguese in Delhi.
The 50-year-old Prime Minister, whose nation has the highest HIV incidence rate in Western Europe said, “You must think of precaution and prevention. This is the key message.”
Socrates said, “I want to give thanks to all the students for a very good job for the race between Portugal and India.”
