New Delhi: The shooting incident at the Euro International school in Guragon has forever changed the lives of three families.
In their hour of sorrow, their emotions are changing rapidly. From a sense of loss and disbelief it’s increasingly conspiracy and revenge.
“He was very happy that day. He had won a medal. He dreamt of being a model. Now all our dreams are dead,” says Abhishek’s father, Ravinder.
Shock and sorrow pervade Badshahpur - a village still in mourning for 14-year old Abhishek Tyagi, shot dead by his schoolmates on Tuesday.
A family trying to cope with their loss now alleges conspiracy and threatens revenge.
“The lamp of our house has been extinguished. If we don't get justice we will not allow others to live either,” says Abhishek’s grandfather, Om Prakash.
“The children have been used as pawns. It’s a conspiracy,” adds Ravinder.
But in Bamboli, the village of one of the accused, there's a very different tension in the air.
Azad Singh, the accused 's father, is a powerful panchayat member, whom few are willing to speak out against.
However, uncle of the accused, Attar Singh says, “We regret the death of their child. Our son made a mistake.”
The roots of the three children who figure in this tragedy can be traced to classrooms such as these.
Obviously their parents did not believe in the promise of such an education.
They wanted to give the best to their children, the best that money could buy and the pressure and the stress on the social fabric was so much that even the classroom could not handle.
Meanwhile, in Gurgaon, the other accused boy's family says they regret Abhishek's death. But they insist that the accused was incapable of murder.
“We are unhappy their child died but we have to do something for our child also,” says the father of the accused, Gajraj Singh Yadav.
The family of the main accused the police say is untraceable. They believe that Azad Singh Yadav against whose name the weapon is registered is evading arrest and is trying together to get legal support.
