New Delhi: Tiger Woods has returned to the golf course and so have his adoring fans. As he prepares for the WGC-CA Championship at the Doral Golf Club, Tiger is busy assessing his knee and its recuperation process, ahead of what promises to be a tough season.

"I thought it would be a little bit sorer than what I was. Recovering from day to day has been great. It couldn't have been more positive, except for obviously getting beat in the second round. But from a physical standpoint, it was better than I thought it would be," says Tiger Woods.

It will be his first stroke-play tournament since he won the U S Open in June, a week before his knee surgery. And with Sergio Garcia fast closing the gap with Tiger for the top spot on the rankings table, the competition won't be easy.

"It is much different because obviously I had an idea of where my game was and the things I needed to work on and where I needed my game to go towards. Right now, I don't really know yet. That's why it's nice to be able to have the four rounds here and get into a competitive stroke play mode again. I've only had the two matches in Arizona and that's it. It'll be nice to get a better understanding of what I need to work on in the next month," adds Tiger Woods.

Clearly, Tiger would be desperate for a win here, as it would boost his morale tremendously ahead of the US Masters next month.
