Mumbai: Director Tanuja Chandra and actress Mahima Choudhary showed up at a radio station for the post-release promotion of their film Hope and a Little Sugar. Though the film hasn't hit the sweet spot with critics, both Mahima and Tanuja take it all with a pinch of sugar.

“Despite the fact that it is in English, despite the fact that it is sort of western style narrative, still people get involved and then when the drama begins some also start crying,” says Tanuja Chandra.

“I like the fact that it is not a long film. It is an hour and a half long and it comes at a time when people are looking for shorter things in life for entertainment just like the 20 - 20 cricket,” says Mahima Choudhary.

On talking about the IPL controversy and the row over cheerleaders, Mahima says, “Personally I have no objection to cheerleaders. I think they are fancy and cute. I have seen them as a part of all sporting events in America. They are the one who cheer it on.”
