New Delhi: Premieres, walk of fame and even a wax model - days before the latest Harry Potter film hit the theatres, the enticing character cast his spell from Mumbai's Juhu to London's Leicester Square.
The lucky few Potter fans who made it to the premieres of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in the two cities were bewitched.
“I like the fact that it is out and out an entertaining film based on magic and we all want to believe in the power of magic,” said actor Pooja Bedi.
Agreed VJ Cyrus Sahukar, “From the last few films I have seen, I think that the broom has done a fantastic job, truly deserves an Oscar nomination.”
Meanwhile, the London premiere saw all the members of the Hogwards School of Wizardry gather at Leicester Square. The Potter fans were clearly spell bound.
"It's interesting, I saw a girl who had photo-shopped me and her in our wedding outfits together and it said 'marry me Dan' and it was very sweet but a bit premature possibly,” said actor Daniel Radcliffe who plays Potter.
Not just Harry, but his first kiss too continued to create a lot of buzz.
"So many people have asked but I don't get bored talking about it, it was a really fun experience, Daniel was great, a really good kisser. It was very relaxed,” said actor Katie Leung.
Having walked the red carpet, the film's stars left their marks on Hollywood's walk of fame in front of the Chinese Theatre, Los Angeles. Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint sunk their hands, feet and wands into cement to become a part of Hollywood history.
"Thank you all very much for coming, this is truly amazing, to join people like John Wayne and just looking around at some of the other names here is remarkable,” Radcliffe said.
Agreed Grint, "This is just so incredible, I'm shaking out there, I was so nervous.”
Watson too was overwhelmed. "I'm so honoured to be here, I think this will be the biggest thing I've ever done in my entire life,” she said.
But clearly, it was Radcliffe who was the centre of all the attention what with even Madam Tussaud's Wax Musuem casting him in a mould.
At 17, Radcliffe is the youngest actor to be immortalised into a wax figure.
