New Delhi: Despite the two-day mayhem across half of India caused by the Northern and Eastern Grid collapse, four northern states and the national capital were overdrawing power from the Northern Grid yet again on Wednesday.
Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Delhi were overdrawing power from the Northern Grid, the northern regional load dispact centre data showed.
Punjab had overdrawn power by 800 MW till 3 pm.
The Northern Grid and the Eastern Grid collapsed on Tuesday triggering the worst ever power crisis in the country. The Centre blamed Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for the collapse saying they were overdrawing from the grids.
