Prakash Singh Badal wins in Lambi

Lambi: Former chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal president, Prakash Singh Badal, who was seeking re-election from Lambi, has won from his constituency.

For the 80-plus grand old politician, anti- incumbency was a word that meant a lot to him.

Earlier in the day, CNN-IBN’s Pallavi Ghosh caught up him where he said he will fulfill all his election promises, if the Akalis win.

Pallavi Ghosh: The counting has begun. What do you have to say?

Prakash Singh Badal: I think everything will be clear before the public within four or five hours.

Pallavi Ghosh: What is the first thing that you promised the people of Punjab if you come back as a Chief Minister?

Prakash Singh Badal: I promise them all that is given in the election manifesto. Each and every word of it.

Pallavi Ghosh: Amarinder Singh says he has had no failures. What do you have to say?

Prakash Singh Badal: I think not only one success. You just reverse what he says and you will get the real answer.

Pallavi Ghosh: In Punjab elections this time, we are seeing a lot of brother against brother. Will that be an attempt on your side to unite the people and get the Punjabis together?

Prakash Singh Badal: I will definitely do my best.
