Noida: The Noida police has got itself embroiled in yet another controversy.

In a shocking incident, they allegedly beat up a pregnant lady on Tuesday evening while trying to question her on the whereabouts of her father.

Three months pregnant, Priyanka was at home when the police came to speak to her father in connection with an attempt to murder case.

The cops found that the man they were looking for was not at home.

The family says the police then mercilessly beat up Priyanka and the other women in the house.

Worried about her health, the family rushed her to hospital and tests are being conducted to determine the fate of the unborn child.

However, the police have denied the allegations, but investigations are on.

Superintendent of police, Noida Police Ashok Tripathi says, "Investigations so far have rendered all the allegations baseless. However, in case even after this, we find something suspicious, we will take necessary actions to punish the accused."
