Lucknow: A pregnant woman was killed and her three-year-old daughter injured when they were allegedly thrown out of a running train by two constables of the Government Railway Police in Lakhimpur Kheri district.
GRP constables Ram Singh and Sudhir Singh have been arrested for the incident that took place on Friday when Dinesh Kumar boarded the Mailani-Gonda passenger train along with his wife Kavita and their child, official sources said in Lucknow on Friday.
Dinesh had an altercation with the GRP personnel who allegedly demanded money from him as he was carrying a cycle in the train, they said.
Later, the GRP personnel allegedly threw Kavita and her daughter out of the train in Lakhimpur Kheri district, 180 kms from Lucknow, the sources said, adding while the woman died on the spot, the girl was injured.
