London: If not Christmas, then why not New Years? Prince William has plans of taking his girlfriend Kate Middleton to the Swiss Alps to spend New Years.
The couple will spend a week alone skiing and relaxing before the Prince resumes his Army training at Sandhurst.
Recently, Kate declined the invitation to spend Christmas with the Royal family as she said she would join them only if the Prince and she get married.
Now rumours are doing the rounds that William may propose during the skiing trip. What sparked off the rumours was William inviting Kate to his passing out parade last week, which is seen in Royal circles as a public declaration of his intent.
Sources say the couple will also celebrate Kate's 25th birthday on January 9. It will be a rare chance to spend time together as they usually travel with pals, the source added.
