Mumbai: Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra starrer Drona hit theatres on Thursday. The actress continued promoting the film, but this time with a little good deed as she got private screening arranged for St Catherine's Home's children.
It was almost an hour's wait for the kids from St Catherine's Home, an orphanage in suburban Mumbai, before Priyanka arrived.
And while they clamoured around her for her attention, the actress looked happy to be among her little fans.
"I love kids. Every time a film of mine is set for a release I get a screening for these kids, I know them all, some even by name," said Priyanka.
Drona premiered on Wednesday night at an Imax screen in Mumbai with the who's who of Bollywood in attendance.
And the lead actress seemed happy with the reactions from her celebrity friends.
"I had some 12 kids coming up to me to tell me that even they want swords like mine," said the actress who plays Abhishek's bodyguard in Drona.
All the kids hurried into the theatre to watch the film with their Priyanka didi and were all praises for her performance.
"Priyanka didi ki acting acchi lagi, (I liked Priyanka's acting a lot)" said one of her little fans.
Well here's hoping there is more than Priyanka's sword that is worth watching in this Rs 50 crore magical adventure fantasy film.
