Screenwriter confirms Professor Cuthbert Calculus for Tintin sequel

New Delhi: Anthony Horowitz, the top British screenwriter of the sequel to Tintin, tweeted that Tintin's friend Professor Calculus may be introduced in the sequel.

Following Steven Spielberg's animated venture 'The Adventures of Tintin', many have wondered which of Herge's famous comic books would be adapted into a film. Screenwriter Anthony Horowitz gave a clue this morning, he tweeted, "You can expect to meet Cuthbert Calculus".

This has opened a number of possiblities, Cuthbert Calculus first appeared in Red Rackham's Treasure. Later he also appeared in The Seven Crystal Balls, Destination Moon, Explorers On The Moon, The Calculus Affair, Flight 714, The Castafiore Emerald, Tintin and the Picaros and The Red Sea Sharks.

Professor Calculus confirmed for Tintin sequel

Anthony Horowitz tweeted that Professor Calculus may be introduced in the Tintin sequel.

The film had been previously rumoured to be based on Prisoners of the Sun, which also features Calculus.

The film is expected to be released in 2013.
