New Delhi: The proposed anti-fixing bill doesn't include leagues like the IPL, sources said on Thursday. The proposed bill incorporates only inter-state and international competitions like test matches.

Meanwhile, the Sports Ministry has sought massive changes in the draft. The Sports Ministry has given its set of recommendations to the Law Ministry. Sources added that the draft mentions that the term dishonesty should be defined to give clarity.

Sources said that the draft will not cover the Hockey League and club football leagues like the AFC Champions Trophy. The recommendations coming from Sports Minister Jitendra Singh's office press for bringing sports fraud under the bill's ambit.

The Sports Ministry said that the idea was to cover all sporting events and not to mention any particular game or tournaments. There are also certain IOC guidelines which the sports ministry wants to be reflected in the draft as sports activities in the country needs to adhere to these.

On Tuesday, the Sports Ministry had said that it was far from satisfied with the first draft of the proposed law sent to it by the Law Ministry and insisted that it intended to carry out "extensive modification" to the contents of the draft.
