Pune bandh: FIR against Shiv Sena leaders

Mumbai: Pune Police have registered cases against Shiv Sena executive chief Udhhav Thackeray's personal assistant Milind Narvekar and Sena MLC Neelam Gorhe.

This for allegedly plotting disruption in Pune during the bandh called by the Sena-BJP combine. The Police booked them after tapping their conversations.

The duo had torched trucks on the Mumbai-Pune highway and damaged state transport buses in different part of the city.

About 50 buses were damaged in stone pelting by agitators in various parts of the city. The Pune police on Wednesday booked Shiv Sena executive chief Udhhav Thackeray's personal assistant Milind Narvekar and Shiv Sena MLC Neelam Gorhe for allegedly hatching the plan to disturb the law and order situation in Pune during the bandh call given by Sena-BJP.

The Pune police have booked the duo on the basis of their conversation tapped by the police on December 27.

The duo hatched the plan to disturb law and order situation in Pune city and district by torching trucks on Mumbai-Pune highways and damaging ST buses at bus stands located in different part of the city.

The police have filed a copy of first information report (FIR) and CD of recordings of the conversation between Narvekar and Gorhe in a sealed envelope before the JMFC RL Wankhede on Thursday. The conversation stated a mob of 200-300 people was to come on the roads in the city and traffic coming towards Pune to be blocked.
