Pune: Maharashtra government on Sunday sanctioned Rs 30 crore to Pune for purchasing crime preventive equipments, including closed circuit televisions (CCTVs), days after serial blasts rocked the heart of the city.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Pune's guardian minister Ajit Pawar sanctioned the amount and asked city's Police Commissioner Gulabrao Pol to complete the purchasing process of the equipments.

Reviewing the investigations into the low-intensity serial blasts that rocked Pune's Junglee Maharaj Road on Wednesday, Pawar asked the city police to take stern action to prevent such crimes.

Maharashtra Police has prepared sketches of two persons who may have planted explosives in Pune as investigators suspect the involvement of at least three persons in executing the blasts.

Teams of the Pune police crime branch, state anti-terrorism squad and the National Investigation Agency were probing the bombings.
