New Delhi: In a pre-dawn raid on a rave party organised by suspected international drug peddlers in Pune on Sunday (March 4), some 250 youths, including 27 girls and seven foreigners, were arrested.
Besides foreigners, most of those detained are students. Police had also detained two alleged drug peddlers and suggest that the drugs were worth Rs 3 crore.
And now the rave party seems to have opened a can of worms.
After further probe, it seems that the issue has connections with Bangalore as well.
Police say that of the 271 students arrested in the Pune rave party, many are from Bangalore. And this isn’t the first time that drug-users from Bangalore have been arrested.
The reports of drug peddlers in Bangalore are growing. The police had arrested two persons in June last year on charges of drug peddling and seized 25 kg of ganja that can cost upto a lakh rupees in the market.
