'Anna Bond'

The movie is fantastic, commercial and entertaining.

International Labour Day

International Labour Day is for everybody. I want to give a good film, for people who have been working hard throughout the year. Ultimately it is their decision. All of us are labourers in our own field. It is all about living for happiness. I wish everyone — who are in a better situation and for those who are still working towards it - my best. Work hard for a good living.

Puneeth Rajkumar: We all work for a good living

Actor Puneeth Rajkumar says that he wants to give a good film, for people who have been working hard throughout.

Tuesday jinx

I can only talk about myself as an actor in ‘Anna Bond’. It is up to the distributors and producer to decide on the release date of the film. Personally for me, all days are meant to be good days. Tuesday is also a good day.

Director Suri

He is my favourite technician. I’m back working with him after ‘Jackie’. I am happy with the way the film has turned out. I hope to get more opportunities to work with him.

Priyamani and Nidhi Subbaiah

Both are extremely professional and hard working. They are good co-stars to work with.

Best scene

As for me, the entire movie has good scenes for the audience to pick and choose from.

Best song

Every individual has one song to pick up from the album. For me, it’s ‘Boni Aagada’. I really liked the lyrics and the melody of this particular song.

Large fan base

I don’t know how crazy this can get. I’m blessed to be able to interact with people through entertainment. I’m here today because of all the love and affection I get from our people.

Competition from other regional language films

I t does bother me to a certain extent. We have been facing this for the past 20 years. We have made a brilliant film like ‘Anna Bond’. You can’t help but deal with competition. At present, the success ratio of Kannada films in Karnataka is quite low. Then again, only the best films from other regional languages release here. And, we fight with the best.

Kannada films going global

It is a big achievement to release our film in other parts of the country. We hope to succeed with ‘Anna Bond’. Our film should reach every Kannada speaking community residing in large numbers in the South as well as North. We are also trying to release the film in UAE, USA and Singapore. However, this will take some time.

Current status of Kannada film industry

Every issue can be solved, if it is sorted among ourselves without any media glare. Public will not have any clue as to what’s happening unless, we discuss about it outside. Everybody works for the movie with a good heart and all the hard work will be paid off eventually.
