New Delhi: Despite the two-day mayhem across half of India owing to the grid collapse, Punjab was overdrawing power from the Northern Grid yet again on Wednesday.

Till 1 pm, the state had overdrawn by 500 MW.

The Northern Grid and the Eastern Grid collapsed on Tuesday triggering the worst ever power crisis in the country. The Centre blamed Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for the collapse saying they were overdrawing from the grids.

On Wednesday, however, all other states including Delhi and Haryana were underdrawing.
