Manchester: On a dramatic final day at the top and bottom of the Premier League, QPR held on to their Premier League status as Bolton suffered relegation to the Championship.
The Trotters needed to win at Stoke City and, despite having gone a goal behind courtesy of a Jonathan Walters goal in the 13th minute, held a half-time lead courtesy of efforts from Mark and Kevin Davies.
Unfortunately for Wanderers, however, Walters was on target again after 79 minutes from the penalty spot which meant that Owen Coyle's side would be relegated, regardless of the result at the Etihad Stadium.

On a dramatic final day at the top and bottom of the Premier League, QPR held on to their Premier League status.
Had Bolton found a third goal it would have been enough to have kept them up as Manchester City claimed all three points against QPR following an unbelievable end to the game.
Rangers were 2-1 ahead, courtesy of goals from Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie, although City hit back in stoppage time through Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero to win the Premier League title with defeat, although defeat did not prove decisive for Mark Hughes' men due to the result at the Britannia Stadium.
