New Delhi: Recession seems to have tightened the purse strings of the Queen of England as well.
The British Monarch adorned a 20-year-old evening gown, instead of investing in a new wardrobe for her state visit to Slovenia and Slovakia.
The gold, silver and grey brocade that was gifted to Queen Elizabeth on her visit to the Middle East, has been in storage.
It was turned into a formal evening gown by her in-house designers.
This new trend pioneered by the queen is being called 'Credit Crunch Couture'.
The 82-year-old is on a four-day state visit to central Europe is also planning to recycle another two of her old outfits on the trip.
