New Delhi: Subhash Ghai launched a new state of the art music studio – Whistling Woods - in his film training school in Mumbai and invited all his famous friends to be part of it.
Among those present were music maestro A R Rahman – who inaugrated the studios - filmmakers Rakesh Mehra, Vishal Bhardwaj.
But did this talented lot ever went through professional training itself?
“I never went to college. I wish I could, but never had the space and the time. Going through the steps was really nostalgic,” confessed Rahman.
And he was not the only one regretting this.
“I wish I could go to a filmschool,” rued Mehra.
Ghai, who's been passionately promoting his school, may have brought in Rahman to meet his students, but at the rather rushed event, the intended interaction never did take place.
“We wanted the media to participate in the interaction going on between the students and the celebs,” said Ghai.
It almost seemed like Ghai was in a hurry to get Rahman out.
“I will talk about rest of it,” he said. The filmmaker also dodged all questions on his forthcoming projects
“Let's talk about Whistling Woods,” he said.
