Lucknow: The BSP on Thursday reacted sharply to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remark terming the UPA Government at the Centre as the government of the poor saying he is an immature leader.

Reacting to Gandhi's speech during his roadshow in Balrampur, BSP state unit chief Swami Prasad Maurya said terming the UPA Government as the government of the poor is not only ridiculous but also a cruel joke with the poor people of the country.

The common people are facing immense hardships due to price rise and are finding it difficult to arrange two square meals due to faulty policies of the UPA government and Gandhi is claiming that the central schemes have been framed keeping in mind the poor, dalits and weaker sections of society, Maurya said.
