New Delhi: Congress party MP Rahul Gandhi has learnt the art of balancing his time between his work and his social life.

Considered to be one of the country’s most eligible bachelors, Rahul Gandhi hopped from Delhi’s fashion circle to his dusty constituency to console the family members of eight people who were crushed to death by a speeding truck last week.

Rahul also met the family members of airman Jai Prakash Shukla, who lost his life during rescue operations in flood hit Barmer district in Rajasthan.

Assuring the family members of the victims of all help and assistance, Rahul told them that he would do his best.

"We have lost everything. Our future is totally dark. Where do we go? What do we do? I cannot think of anything. All the earning members are gone. Tell me what we do now?" lamented Laxmidevi, the only surviving member of the family as all other family members had died in the accident.

The villagers narrated the horrific incident when some people decided to sleep in the open, as the village had no power.

"There was no power and so we decided to sleep outside. At around 4:30am a speeding truck ran over. We woke up to find our relatives smashed under the wheels," said Parashuram, a villager to Rahul.

From the dusty lanes of Musafir Khana in Amethi, Rahul travelled to attend Delhi’s dazzling fashion parties.

Along with his brother-in-law Robert Vadra, Rahul attended a party thrown by fashion designer Ashish Soni to wrap up the hectic work in the just concluded Will Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

Dressed in black T-Shirt, Rahul caught the attention of all present at the party. He then made a quick exit.
