New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi on Thursday received praise from an unexpected quarter -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha who said the young Congress leader had "good potential".
"Rahul Gandhi has a very good upbringing. He is a good cultured and nice boy and has good potential, I don't deny this," the actor-turned politician said, while commenting on the Congress general secretary's praise for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"Rahul has said only what he thinks is best for the society and best for Bihar. Nitish Kumar has already done well. He has reconfirmed (it). But nothing more should be read between the lines," Sinha added.
He said Rahul's praise would not mean that Janata Dal (United) would go out of the National Democratoc Alliance (NDA) fold.
"What he (Rahul) has said may be its very genuinely and very affectionately about the progress done by Bihar under Nitish Kumar's leadership. But I am sure there is no going anywhere. Nitish Kumar is firmly with us within NDA alliance," Sinha said.
Rubbishing suggestions that Nitish Kumar could leave NDA, Sinha said such hints were given by certain "frustrated and dejected" people and parties which wanted to confuse the voters.
