This strong reaction from the state government comes after Rahul Gandhi decided to make an undisclosed visit to parts of western UP.
The UP government is planning to complain to the Centre for what it sees as a major security protocol breach and irresponsibility on the part of the Congress leader.
Home Secretary, UP Mahesh Gupta said, “Considering the security lapses, the state government will take up this matter to the Centre.
Back in Delhi, the Congress was equally surprised by Rahul's visit but it recovered quickly to derive political mileage.
Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said, “No political party leader is expected to inform another political leader about their movement.”
Post Lok Sabha election with Congress winning 22 Lok Sabha seats from the state, Mayawati is now taking the Gandhi family head on. From criticising Rahul Gandhi's visits to Dalit homes..to economy class travel of the Gandhis in trains and planes.
Rahul however has realised that he would have to confront Maya head on, there is no better way for him than to meet people in BSP bastions and convince voters that a statue obsessed Maya is anti people.
Rahul’s train ride was made to prove a point but had to be tempered because of security concerns, similar questions are now being raised over this tour. But the point is that is Mayawati worried that Rahul’s surprise tours may spring a surprise on her plans for the state?
