Mumbai: Actress Monica Bedi's journey on Bigg Boss was cut short with her eviction from the reality show on Friday.
Speaking to CNN-IBN, the controversial star said she wanted the world to get to know the real side of her personality.
Monica, who was extradited along with gangster Abu Salem from Portugal in 2005 and lodged in jail in a fake passport case, participated on the show to "start life afresh".
CNN-IBN: What was he intention to be a part of Bigg Boss — was it to clear your name or was it to gain a different experience?
Monica Bedi:: I think both. I participated because I found it really interesting that you have to live with so many people. There are cameras and mics to keep a watch on what you do and say. I saw it as an opportunity where I could be myself — it was an opportunity to show people what the real Monica is all about.
CNN-IBN: Some tabloids reported that Abu Salem was tracking all the updates about you from Bigg Boss. Does it affect you or are you over and done with that part of your life?
Monica Bedi:: I think there is no truth in this news. I doubt he was given access to a TV in jail just because I was on it. Even if that were the case, I’m okay with it. There’s no contact or relation between us.
CNN-IBN: You’re writing an autobiography. Have you thought of a title yet?
Monica Bedi:: No. Rahul advised me that I must come up with the truth and show people the real Monica. He suggested I must tell people about what all problems I've faced in my life.
CNN-IBN: Are Rahul Mahajan and you friends or more than just friends?
Monica Bedi:: Rahul was just like the others. He was a good friend and housemate.
