New Delhi: A 13-year-old boy lost a leg and a hand after he was pushed out of a moving train, allegedly by the ticket examiner.
Eyewitnesses say the ticket checker pushed Shankar Singh out of the Gitanjali Express on Wednesday following an argument over Rs 50.
The boy had found the note while sweeping a train compartment but when he refused to hand it over to the ticket examiner, he allegedly pushed Shankar out of the train.
The boy is admitted to a hospital in Rourkela.
An FIR has been registered but the ticket examiner is yet to be arrested. Local residents are threatening an agitation if he is not arrested immediately.
"I saw the TT beating Shankar and pushed him out of the train. The TT had big moustache, I can identify him,” Shankar’s friend Rajesh Singh says.
