Click to play videoNew Delhi: The Gurjar protests have badly affected train services. Northern Railways alone have cancelled 10 trains and diverted eight others running through Rajasthan. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has appealed to the protestors to call off the protests.
He said, "Koi maang utha rahe ho toh theek hai, har jaati ko apni baat bolne ka hak hai. Rail lifeline hai aur rail ko jo poora thap log kiye huye hain humko divert karna pada gaadi ko toh maine appeal aaj kiya hai ki andolan vapis lo." ("If it is railways personnel making a demand and striking, then it is a different matter. The railways are India's lifeline and due to this protest, we have had to divert all trains. I have appealed to the people to stop this agitation.")
