Mumbai: Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, who was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital, was discharged on Monday and drove to his residence with estranged cousin and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
In a surprising development Raj Thackeray met Uddhav twice at the hospital where the latter was admitted after complaining of chest pain. After Uddhav came out of the hospital, he went home with Raj Thackeray.
Shiv Sena sources said that Uddhav was not feeling well since his recent foreign trip and was on Monday admitted at Lilavati for a routine check-up. Hospital sources confirmed that Uddhav was admitted to the ICCU, accompanied by his family doctor.
Raj Thackeray broke away from the Shiv Sena to form the MNS in early 2006, after feeling sidelined by Uddhav, who entered politics in 2004, years after Raj, who had been associated with the party since the 1990s.
