Raj Thackeray ends Mumbai court gag order

Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has ended a court-enforced gag order almost a month after it was imposed on him in the wake of his anti-North Indian tirade last month.
Addressing his party workers at the Shivaji Park, Thackeray said he is keeping quiet because this was examination time for the students and because the Assembly was in session.
He targeted his critics, saying they did not react when anti-north Indian violence occurred in Manipur last week.
Without naming any political leader, he said: "The leaders from Bihar, who are making verbal attacks on me are not much serious on the issue, rather they are eyeing — 'Money-pore' — in Maharashtra.''
He was speaking at the celebration of 'Shiv Jayanti' at the Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Around 10,000 people from across the state gathered there to celebrate the function.
Raj Thackeray said his party will reveal its future plans at a public rally on May 3. On the North Indian issue, Raj said: ''Whatever I want to say on this issue, I will say on that day only.''
He reiterated that the ban imposed on him by the state government was not successful. The MNS chief said he was in regular touch with the media people and his interview as well as his comments were being published in the newspapers during the period, especially in Marathi.
