Days before the release of Eega, director SS Rajamouli has revealed that a process has been started to convert Eega into the 3D version. It is this version that will be released in Hindi.
"2D to 3D conversion is roughly a 4 months job. If Eega does well, then the plan is to release the dubbed Hindi version by the year end," he said on Twitter. The film will be released in Telugu and Tamil also, but with a limited number of prints. "Some limited 3D prints will release in Telugu and Tamil also."
It is known that Eega is going to be released big-time in other countries, including parts of North India. "The English subtitles are read to post on the overseas and North Indian prints. Need the go-ahead from the overseas distributors," he says.
