Alwar: The 19-year-old girl in Alwar, Rajasthan, who had attempted to immolate herself after being harassed by her neighbour for over four years, succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital on Friday.
The woman had suffered 90 per cent burn injuries and was admitted to a local hospital by her family after she had tried to set herself ablaze following the harassment.
According to the family, the neighbour, Rajesh Jogi, had been making threatening calls and warned her with dire consequences if she did not marry him. The accused was arrested after the family lodged a complaint.
