Jaipur: Even though the Meteorology Department predicted mild to moderate showers for Jaipur, the city received heavy rains during peak traffic hours on Monday. Within minutes, roads were waterlogged and cars stranded.

Parts of eastern Rajasthan also received heavy rainfall.

Ajmer Sharif is battling a flood-like situation. The city received 92 millimetres of rainfall.

Many areas were filled with two-four feet of water.

The Ajmer Sharif Dargah wasn't spared either.

Traffic movement was restricted in some areas. Ajmer's mayor spoke to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and asked for a relief package.
