Parikshit Luthra: How many Bangladeshis have been detained for questioning?
Rajendra Singh Rathore Around 40 Bangladeshis are being questioned as of now. All these people have criminal records against their name in the past.
Parikshit Luthra: Is any verification process going on at the moment? Are we going to see some people being deported soon?
Rajendra Singh Rathore People who are illegal immigrants will be verified within the next 30 days. If they are found to be defaulters, they will be charged.
Parikshit Luthra: What has been found out about Afzal — the man who's Lucknow visiting card was found in an abandoned car in Jaipur?
Rajendra Singh Rathore The police have located the address of Afzal, whose car it presumably was. He was contacted and the police say that he left the car there because his mother was very ill and he had to leave suddenly. The police are verifying his story.
Parikshit Luthra: Tell us about the inputs of the Special Task Force, which has been constituted to probe the blasts?
Rajendra Singh Rathore The cycles that were used to plant the bombs have been traced to the shop that they were bought from. We have yet to find out the name and address of the person(s) who bought the cycles. Sketches are being made on the basis of the description of the buyers given by the cycle shop-owner and assistants. The kind of bag that was used is also being determined as is the make of the bag and from there we hope to get more clues.
