Rajasthan Royals ended their desert safari in the UAE with a thrilling Super-Over win against Kolkata Knight Riders and have done fairly well winning three of their five games in IPL 7 so far under new skipper Shane Watson. Now, back in India, they will continue with their philosophy of playing 'smart cricket'.

That's how allrounder Rajat Bhatia described the brand of cricket Rajasthan emphasise playing, pointing at the two runs RR scored to match Kolkata Knight Riders' 11 in the Super-Over, which was enough to give them a victory on boundary count.

"The best thing about our team is we believe in playing smart cricket rather than playing aggressive cricket," he told iplt20.com. "We knew if we score two runs, then we will win the match. They [Steve Smith and Watson] already knew about the calculations," the veteran of India's domestic circuit said. "I don't know if KKR knew about the equation, but we knew what we needed to do [to win]."

Bhatia also said that each member of the Rajasthan squad has a clearly defined role and plays according to that. "Everybody is getting their chances and at the back of their mind they know what role they have to play. We have already been told what kind of role we will be playing. Everyone will get their chance."

The former Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata player said he likes to strangle the batsmen for runs to get wickets. "I am not here to bowl at 140-150 kmph. I am here to give my best and make the batsmen struggle and give away less runs and pick crucial wickets," Bhatia said reflecting on his role.

Bhatia said Rajasthan believe in proper planning and all things are executed according to a set plan. "There is a plan behind each and everything, in each and every game," he said. "We have been picked according to that. It's not like we just go to the ground and plan things. It's done beforehand. So they go according to plan. Some plans are successful and sometimes they won't work, but it looks to me that things are going according to plan," he signed off.
