New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals player Siddharth Trivedi has been made a prosecution witness by Delhi Police in the spot-fixing scandal that rocked the Indian cricket in the past two weeks.
The Delhi Police spoke to Trivedi in connection with the spot-fixing case and made him a prosecution witness. Sources told CNN-IBN say Siddharth was offered bribe by bookies but he refused.
The latest development will make the police case stronger. His deposition will help in making case stronger against the bookies as well as the players.
Sources also said that two foreign players were also approached by the bookies, but they too refused to indulge in the act.
The Delhi Police had arrested three Rajasthan players - Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila - for their alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal on May 16.
