Jaipur: A 17-year-old student studying in class XI delivered a baby boy in her hostel at a government residential girls school in Rajasthan's Nagaur district. The girl delivered the baby in a bathroom of the hostel early on Tuesday.
"When the matter came to light, the hostel warden Hemlata was suspended (for negligence) and the principal Bhanwar Lal was removed from the school last night," Nagaur Collector Ashok Bhandari said on Wednesday.
The principal has been put on Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) status. "The incident came to light when other girls heard the cries of the newborn boy. "The girl and the newborn were given medical care and her guardian, grandfather, was called from Ladnu village who took the girl and the newborn along with him," he said, adding that the infant died on Wednesday.

The girl delivered the baby in a bathroom of the hostel early on Tuesday. The baby died on Wednesday.
A case has been registered and the matter is being investigated, he added.
