New Delhi: Rajat Kapoor, the man behind small budget flicks like Raghu Romeo and Mixed Doubles was in the Capital for the first screening of his latest offering Mithya at the 9th Osian's Cinefan film festival.
Though, the likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak are regulars on Rajat's credit list, actress Neha Dhupia's name in the film came as a surprise.
“This film is definitely different film form all that I have done before. The film entertains but in a meaningful manner. Of all the films that I have done Mithya is my top two best,” says Neha.
The film traces the life of an aspiring actor VK, who gets the role of a lifetime to play a gangster but in real life becomes a pawn in the hands of the underworld.
Ranvir, who plays the lead actor, says working with good friend Rajat made all the difference in the film. “Working with friends is different and better than working with a regular team,” he says.
After touring the festival circuit, Mithya is scheduled to hit multiplexes across the country later this year.
