Rajesh Khanna admitted to hospital again

Mumbai: Yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna was admitted to the city's Lilavati hospital on Saturday evening due to weakness, a week after being released from there, sources close to him said.

"He is in the hospital," a hospital source said, without divulging the reason behind the hospitalisation of the 69-year-old actor, fondly called 'Kaka'.

However, sources close to the actor said that he was shifted to the hospital due to weakness and Khanna's estranged wife Dimple Kapadia and daughter Rinkie are with him.

Earlier on June 20, it was reported that Khanna had stopped taking food. But the next day, he emerged at the balcony of his home 'Aashirwad' in Carter Road in Bandra and waved to his fans.

Soon after that, on June 23, he had to be admitted to hospital due to exhaustion and weakness. He was discharged on July 8.

Earlier also in April, he was admitted to Lilavati hospital for three-four days after he complained of uneasiness and exhaustion.

Khanna had recently appeared in his first TV ad for for Havell's fan, directed by R Balki.
