Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan' is set for a Tamil New Year release

Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan' is a much awaited film.

The film has Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone paired up with Raijni. Also, Soundarya R Ashwin has made her maiden directorial venture with 'Kochadaiyaan' .

Though the film is a one with great star casts, there has not been any great hype about it.

\'Kochadaiyaan\' will star actor Deepika Padukone and Rajinikanth in the lead roles.

Earlier, it was said that 'Kochadaiyaan' would get released in 2012 December, on Rajini's birthday. but later the film was ready for Pongal release.

And now news has it that the big budget Tamil film is slated for an April release.

When asked the director about the film's progress, she said, "Kochadaiyaan is in its editing stage now, and we've already locked the first half. We're working on the second half of the film now, and re-recordings, sound effects and dubbing will begin from the next month."

We also hear from a source that the film has rich graphic elements in it and that a proficient team is already on the CG works in studios of Chennai and London.

The audio mix is on the verge of completion and the date for an audio launch is also being discussed. The shooting has been culminated long back and its just heavy post production work that's nearing completion.
