Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan' release date postponed?

Looks like the much awaited 'Kochadaiyaan' starring Rajinikanth might not hit the screens on the Superstar's birthday on December 12.

For delay in the post-production works might make the film to see the light of the day on Pongal, that is by the second week of January 2013.

"Since this is the first Tamil film to be made on 3D using performance capturing technology, intense post-production work is required. A big team is currently working day and night on the project," sources say.

They add: "Every attempt will be made to release the film on Rajini's birthday. However, if the deadline is missed, the movie will be released on Pongal."

'Kochadaiyaan' is directed by Soundarya R Ashwin, the younger daughter of Rajini. Music is by AR Rahman.
