Rajinikanth Express chugs in

Devaneri: A lone railway coach in a private sea side farm may seem a little odd but that's what superstar Rajinikanth seems to have bought in the midst of shooting for his next film Sivaji.

You have heard of the rich and the famous buy flashy cars and private jets, well according to a weekly Tamil magazine, the coach is just the first of three that Rajinikanth plans to buy.

He is laying a small track inside this five-acre farm and wants to remodify the coach and have his own mini train.

The first class AC coach was discarded by the Railways as scrap and was brought from Vizhupuram district by trailers.

While scrap dealers buy discarded coaches, this is perhaps the first time that someone has bought it to run as a mini train.

Reports also estimate that such coach could cost more than Rs 20 lakh and modifying it and laying private tracks may cost upwards of a few crores.

Well, Rajinikanth is rich enough to do just about anything including travel in his own little train. However, it may be interesting to see what Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has to say about the superstar's acquisition.
