New Delhi: Amidst confusion about the Lokpal Bill in the Rajya Sabha, the upper House has been adjourned till Thursday, after the Government on Wednesday afternoon said the legislation will be debated on Thursday.
The Lokpal Bill has been introduced in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday but the discussion and voting on the proposed legislation was deferred.
MoS Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla said that the Rajya Sabha will take up Lokpal Bill for discussion on Thursday.

Amidst confusion about the Lokpal Bill in the Rajya Sabha, the upper House has been adjourned till Thursday.
The reason cited was that there are many amendments proposed and many speakers listed and about 8 hours have been allotted in the Rajya Sabha. So, it would not be able to complete the proceedings on Wednesday.
The anti-corruption Bill was cleared in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday in a voice vote. But the Lokpal Bill failed to get the constructional status due to lack of support of 273 MPs as required.
