Bangalore: While one star wedding has caught international attention, another star wedding down south has fans in a frenzy.
Fans from across Karnataka gathered in Bangalore as popular Kannadiga actress Rakshitha tied the knot with actor-director and long time love Prem.
Though actress will quit acting for now - she won't be bidding goodbye to the film industry yet.
"I will not be acting in any more movies. But Prem and I are going to start a production house and so I will still be a part of the industry," says Rakshitha.
When asked if it was hubby Prem who asked her to quit films, she says, "He did not ask me to quit, but it was a joint decision."
But then, how difficult is it going to be for a seasoned actress as Rakshitha to stay off-screen? "When I stepped out of home yesterday and I saw a thousand people waiting for me to wish me a happy married life, I was over whelmed," says Rakshitha.
"It feels nice that so many fans are there. In fact, till yesterday, I was getting calls from people telling me to re-think my decision and not to quit," she adds.
Rakshitha shot to fame in her debut movie Appu after which there has been no looking back. Prem, on the other hand, became an ace director with films such as Excuse-me and Jogi.
And no doubt fans are disappointed that the couple will no longer be seen together onscreen after their last film Preeti Yeke Bhoomi Mele Iddae. "He is such a good director and she is such a beautiful actress, I will be upset if they don't make films together," says a fan.
