Ramadoss, Velu to hand over resignation to PM

New Delh: PMK nominees in the UPA Cabinet Anbumani Ramadoss and R Velu will resign on Saturday from their ministerial posts, party sources said.

Ramadoss (Union Health Minister) and Velu (Minister of State for Railways) will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday evening and hand over their resignations, the sources said.

The move comes two days after the party surprised all and decided to switch-over to AIADMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu for the Lok Sabha polls.

The PMK on Thursday said it would join the AIADMK-led front in Tamil Nadu, accusing DMK of 'humiliating' its party cadre.

The PMK also announced that the two Union ministers will resign in the next two days.
