Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh as well as Congress MP Ajit Jogi and his wife Renu Jogi won their seats comfortably in the Chhattisgarh assembly elections results for which were announced on Monday.
Singh won the Rajnandgaon seat by over 32,000 votes defeating Congress nominee and sitting lawmaker Udai Mudliar.
Ajit Jogi, the state's first chief minister, retained his Marwahi seat in Bilaspur district defeating BJP candidate Dhyan Singh Porte by about 40,000 votes.
Jogi's wife Renu Jogi too retained her Kota seat in Bilaspur district. She trounced senior BJP leader Mulchand Khandelwal by about 8,000 votes.
