Anand (Guj): Ahead of his August 9 protest at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi, yoga guru Ramdev on Sunday said he has written to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister appealing them not to "interfere" in his proposed stir.
"I have written a letter to the Prime Minister and the (Union) Home Minister asking them not to interfere and put obstacles in an undemocratic way, because this peaceful democratic movement of people doesn't aim at spreading lawlessness," Ramdev told reporters.
Ramdev, who on Sunday visited the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Karamsad in Anand district as part of his Gujarat tour, said he would spend the next three days here in "self introspection".
Ramdev said people from across the country will reach Delhi to participate in the August 9 stir.
