A bit of religion and yoga can be good political chemistry in an election year. So Baba Ramdev is prescribing the right political ‘exercise’ and Pradesh Congress leaders are simply ecstatic.
“People are enamored by all that the Baba is doing. He has a Midas’s touch,” General Secretary of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Jagdish Sharma said.
The leaders are all ears as the Baba counsels them on spirituality. He is also sensitive enough to be aware that they are looking for his political blessings.
“I am with the truth. I belong to everybody and they are all mine,” Baba Ramdev said philosophically.
For the Delhi unit of the Congress this is the best way to get back its political health. Faced with anti incumbency after 10 years in office perhaps only a yogic miracle can make the Congress sail through in the November elections.
