Mongoldoi: Two persons were crushed to death by the security vehicle of Yoga Guru Ramdev here on Monday, police said.
The mishap occurred at the weekly market area of Janaram Chowk when Ramdev's security vehicle belonging to Seema Surakhsa Bal (SSB) ran over and killed two people on the spot.
Ramdev, currently on a visit to the state since February 7, however, moved on to attend a nearby yoga camp under Sipahjar police station area.
The deceased were identified as Harakanta Dutta (45) and Sitinath Sharma (35), police said.
Angry crowds gathered both at the accident spot as well as the Mongoldoi Civil Hospital where the bodies were taken for post mortem.
Police swung into action and brought the situation under control. The vehicle was seized but no arrest has been made so far.
Meanwhile, Ramdev's office denied the report.
"The news is absolutely baseless," Ramdev's spokesman SK Tijarawala said in a statement.
